VMware has appointed Leslie Ong as country manager to lead the VMware business in Singapore.
Acoridng to a recent announcement by the virtualization and cloud infrastructure provider, Ong will be responsible for the strategic direction and market development for VMware in Singapore.
Ong succeeds Nicholas Tan, who was in the leadership role for the last three years.
Ong has 25 years of business, high tech and IT experience. He joins VMware from Oracle, where he most recently served as Managing Director, Singapore for almost three years. Prior to Oracle, Ong worked at HP for 23 years across the company's business units in various leadership positions.
