Results-proven testimonials from business owners indicate that Volvo Trucks' Fleet Management System, Dynafleet, is bringing fuel savings to transportation companies in Singapore and other nations in Asia.
A Volvo Trucks' Indonesian customer is pleased with the solution's telematic ability as it has helped the company track their trucks even in the most remote areas.
Dynafleet is an efficient online Transport Information System designed to improve profitability and enable a better way of working, according to Volvo.
The Indonesian customer, an owner of 150 Volvo trucks, has Dynafleet already installed in 28 of them, and is now able to find out, within a day, the reasons for fuel consumption.
"Our customers are seeing the positive impact of Dynafleet to their businesses," said Olivier Metzger, general manager at Volvo Trucks Singapore. "If technology advances coupled with people development and commitment to research and development (R&D) can be made accessible to everyone, we believe we can continue to create a safe, efficient transport system for all."
Good return on investment
Half of the respondents from the 2015 Fleet and Vehicle Management Survey Report said they saw a return on investment within six months or less of implementing fleet management systems.
Another research by Frost & Sullivan shows that users of telematics experienced up to 10 to 15 percent increase in productivity, 10 to 15 percent reduction in overtime, and saved up to 20 to 30 minutes per day per driver in labour.
Fleet management is further simplified by the Dynafleet app that enables businesses to manage their entire fleet and transport route planning remotely, from any location via smartphone or tablet.
The app also allows users to access several parameters in real time, including exact location, fuel consumption, carbon emissions and the locations of all Volvo Trucks' dealerships.
"Globally, 200,000 Volvo trucks have been installed with Dynafleet. We have seen 170 percent growth in Dynafleet installation within Asia since 2015 and the growth momentum is expected to continue," added Metzger.
