"To give you an idea, over the last two years, I joined Veeam about two and a half years ago," says Clarke. "I was employee number four for Asia Pacific. Across Asia Pacific you now have 53. Globally I was employee number 314 I think. We now have more than 1,000 employees globally. The revenue has been on that exponential growth year on year and one statistic that we released the other day was a global statistic and I'll break it down for you.
"We recently announced that we've just hit the 62,000 customer mark globally. It took us six years to get to 50,000 customers. It took us an additional six months to get to 60,000 customers so it shows the brand awareness and particularly the investment we made in what worked for us as growth markets here in Asia really paying off as the brand awareness grows.
"As these markets become more virtualised, the desire for our technology grows. So in South East Asia we now have more than 400 partners. Many of them, the majority really would be Singaporean. From a customer perspective, we're up to something like 8,000 customers across the region and again, over the last two years, that's more than tripled."
