Citrix refreshes its global channel programs

Citrix has unveiled an enhanced Citrix Solution Advisor (CSA) program, as well as its new Citrix SaaS Advisor (CSSA) program.

Citrix has unveiled an enhanced Citrix Solution Advisor (CSA) program, as well as its new Citrix SaaS Advisor (CSSA) program.

Both programs are designed to help partners maximise growth, profit and engagement with Citrix. Citrix APAC channel sales and partner development director, Phil Dean-Jones, said the move is designed to support partners going into new markets through improved capacity and additional rewards.

"Citrix has always been a partner orientated organisation from day one, and we always looks at bringing new programs to enhance its partners' ability to compete in new markets that we've started moving into," he said.

"We're making sure their investments in these new products lines is being recognised."

The CSA program is being enhanced with new requirements, benefits, incentives and a simplified engagement model.

Key program elements include a new opportunity registration benefit for its Cloud networking products, differentiated advisor rewards by level, removing minimum requirements for Silver Solution Advisors to make it easier to join the partner program, and an update to the certification requirements of all solutions advisors. Constantly evolving

When it comes to the timing of the announcement, Dean-Jones said there was no special reasoning behind it.

"This is something we've been working on for some time at the back end to figure out what we can do to improve it," he said.

This development came to the point where now was the right time for Citrix to announce the initiative both worldwide and in Australia.

"The partner program has been evolving for a number of years and was in place when I joined the organisation," Dean-Jones said.

"We're constantly looking at what our competitors are doing in the marketplace, how we can gear up our partners to be more productive, and how we can provide better return on their investment."

The CSSA program is designed to leverage the local and regional reach of the channel to deliver Citrix's SaaS applications as a stand-alone offering or part of a broader solution.

The program will be rolled out by Citrix over the coming months and will feature ongoing investment in Citrix SaaS Advisors and extended API support when integrating.
