China’s TravelSky taps on HP for software development support

HP Enterprises Services will help to develop TravelSky’s new passenger services platform

HP Enterprises Services is helping China's TravelSky Technology in the development of the latter's next-generation passenger services system called New Compass.

Headquartered in Beijing, TravelSky serves customers that include 30 domestic airlines, 200 overseas airlines, 147 domestic airports and 7,000 ticket agents. It provides services to 300 cities in China and 80 other cities worldwide.

The new system promises to provide airline customers with flexible and scalable platforms.

"Success in the airline industry is built on the ability to innovate-providing differentiated, tailored services that meet the changing needs of the sophisticated, connected traveller," said Bruce Dahlgren, senior vice president and general manager, Enterprise Services-Asia Pacific and Japan, HP. "Clients such as TravelSky rely on HP to understand the nuances of their business and deliver solutions that meet the specific needs of the aviation industry."
