 Gamechanger: enterprise mobility

CA Technologies vice president, solution strategy, Asia Pacific & Japan, Vic Mankotia announced the availability of CA Mobile Device Management (CA MDM) and said there additional enterprise mobility solutions were in the pipeline while there were updates to existing products that would help customers mobilise their business from every angle - user, device, data and applications.

These solutions will help increase workplace productivity and collaboration, and will manage mobile enterprise applications across all environments from a single administrative interface, said Mankotia.

"Enterprise mobility is a game changer for many organisations facing an increasingly mobile workforce and a surging bring-your-own-device culture among IT-savvy information workers," said Mankotia, who said the mobility solutions would be launched in phases across APJ markets.

"CA Technologies helps CIOs to embrace enterprise mobility by helping to ensure the security of enterprise mobile assets, management of multiple devices, diversity and management of mobile platforms, and investments in making mobile applications," he said, adding that CA Mobile Device Management would help

IT control Bring-Your-Own-device (BYOD) policies by providing visibility and management tools for a wide range of mobile devices.

In addition, the scalable CA MDM could be integrated into enterprise security architecture and secure data "at rest" and "in transit" across all devices, said Mankotia., adding that over-the-air (OTA) application delivery and analytics showed app usage while helping IT distribute and monitor key enterprise applications and keep them current with automatic updates. "CA MDM includes self-service capability that can transform a device from unmanaged to managed in 90 seconds," he said.

CA Technologies' Cheng said: "CA Expo '13 Kuala Lumpur represented one of the biggest marketing investment CA Technologies in engaging our customers and partners in Kuala Lumpur. This year's CA Expo is special as we are mapping new strategic growth directions under our new CEO Mike Gregoire. We are firmly committed to continue growing in Malaysia and helping CIOs create real business advantage with disruptive technologies."

CA IT Infrastructure Solutions (CA-IT) is CA Technologies country representative partner (CRP) for Malaysia and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Multimedia Supercorridor (MSC) Malaysia status company Microlink Solutions Berhad.
