CA Technologies has released a mobile-ready, SaaS-based IT Cloud service management solution with "configure, don't code" approach to maker it quicker and simpler for business.
CA Cloud Service Management is designed with a 'configure, don't code' approach that offers implementation in weeks without new development and maintenance resources or complex upgrades.
According to a company statement, service delivery and resource provisioning can be automated in just a few minutes.
It also provides a consumer-like experience to accelerate adoption and empower end users.
CA Technologies, vice president, solution strategy APJ, Vic Mankotia, said the explosion of applications and devices deployed in the enterprise had made service delivery a cornerstone of employee and business productivity.
"CA has designed a solution that unlocks the full potential of SaaS by focusing on what matters to customers — employee satisfaction, speed of deployment and reduced cost of ownership," said Vic Mankotia, vice-president, Solution Strategy, CA Technologies Asia-Pacific and Japan.
"Solutions like CA Cloud Service Management can deliver on the promise of SaaS ITSM by focusing on efficiently meeting the core needs of user personas rather than a sophisticated technical platform that's difficult to maintain and upgrade," said Robert Young, Research Manager, Enterprise System Management Software, IDC.
Beta testers including Fujitsu and Cirrity have also provided feedback.
Fujitsu, global service desk chief architect, Carey Blunt, said the company was initially concerned concerned that CA had under scoped the solution implementation for one of it major customers.
"But we quickly learned that CA Cloud Service Management's unique approach had eliminated much of the traditional development work associated with service management implementations," she said.
"CA Cloud Service Management is functionally-rich and easy-to-implement, with standardized and preconfigured ITMaaS capabilities that breathe fresh air into the ITSM market."
Cirrity chief technology officer, Dan Timko, said all too often sound service management adoption suffered with sophisticated solutions that were stacked with features but were just too difficult to use and costly to maintain.
"CA Cloud Service Management gave us the capabilities we needed to service our customers while also allowing for an accelerated implementation and time to value."
It further expands CA Technologies Management Cloud offerings launched earlier this year with Management Cloud for Mobility — a suite for mobile content, application and device management delivered as a cloud service.
