Brocade Systems Inc. has announced new initiatives extending its collaboration with VMware to promote solutions that support the New IP by enabling enterprise systems to more easily migrate to software-defined data centres (SDDC) and adopt virtualization.
A press statement by the San Jose, California-based data storage and networking solutions vendor said the initiatives consist of interoperability of Brocade Ethernet and Fibre Channel fabrics with VMware vRealize Operations 6.0 and VMware’s participation in the Brocade Network Subscription programme.
Brocade said the interoperability will help enterprise systems realize higher performance, automation, reliability and application and data availability in their data centres.
On the other hand, VMware’s participation in the Brocade Network Subscription programme means this will enable organizations to acquire both network infrastructure and VMware platform solutions on a subscription basis with pay-as-you-go flexibility.
Likewise, the Brocade IP Management Pack for VMware vRealize Operations and vRealize Log Insight will be available for download this November from VMware Solutions Exchange.
These management tools provide end-to-end visibility across physical and virtual networks.
