Atos, the European leader in IT services, has formed a partnership with Yonyou, a leading China-based management software solutions and cloud services provider in Asia Pacific.
Formerly known as UFIDA, Yonyou will be collaborating with Atos to address the growing cloud market in Asia Pacific, with primary focus on the private cloud market in China and public cloud for the rest of Asia Pacific. In addition, the two companies will work together to introduce new integrated manufacturing solutions to the Chinese market.
This new collaboration follows from the success of their joint venture called YUNANO which was established in November 2011.
Herbie Leung, CEO of Atos in Asia Pacific said: "Creating this strategic partnership is an important step in our strategy to further grow our market share in cloud services in Asia Pacific, especially China that are set to accelerate sharply in 2012."
According to Leung, Yonyou together with Atos will combine forces to accelerate their innovative offerings in cloud computing and IT services.
In China, they aim to offer mid to large enterprises solutions to advance their enterprise IT management and operations securely and cost effectively into the cloud. Outside of China, Yonyou will be promoting its leading enterprise CRM and ERP applications under Canopy, a new Atos company in which EMC and VMware plan to invest and will be dedicated to offer one-stop shop for enterprise applications over the cloud.
The new partnership will also see the introduction of a new suite of Atos integrated manufacturing solutions in China. These solutions will be based on Siemens Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software that is tightly integrated with Yonyou NC ERP software.
Targeting middle to large manufacturing enterprises, the partnership will present the next-generation of manufacturing solutions integrating product and service innovation, manufacturing operations excellence, across supply chain, operations and sales performance.
