Asurion Asia Pacific improves ROI with QlikView

Asurion Asia Pacific has improved its return on investment by deploying QlikView in its supply chain, customer care, and finance business units.

The telecommunications company was searching for a solution to gain near real-time visibility over inventory and supply chain.

Asurion Asia Pacific also wanted to monitor performance over customer care and help improve value proposition for prospective customers.

The company hired Qlik Elite solution provider Velocity Business Solutions, and got the first of seven visual dashboards in just two weeks.

"QlikView gives us a very strong visualisation tool for BI," said Peter Blanks, APAC chief operating officer, Asurion Asia Pacific. "My colleagues didn't require much persuading and we were able to go ahead quickly with a fast time to market and ROI in just six months."

Analysing big data

QlikView has enabled Asurion Asia Pacific to analyse big data from multiple sources and made significant improvements in its inventory and supply chain management.

It has helped the telecom company to create a platform for new business acquisition and delivered key metrics on customer care . This helps Asurion reassure wireless carriers that it is delivering a world class and responsive service to customers.

Asurion can now monitor call-centre performance and take corrective action if calls aren't being handled swiftly or if extra training is required by agents.

Thanks to QlikView, Asurion now has a, scalable BI platform for future development at a lower cost than the legacy solution.

"It's too early to put a figure on our supply chain savings, but we know that it's significant," added Blanks.
