Vietnam-based private bank Asia Commercial Bank (ACB) has tapped on Dimension Data to refresh its legacy infrastructure and improve workplace collaboration through a private cloud platform.
Dimension Data has migrated ACB's existing legacy system to a Microsoft platform while ensuring that all solutions are cloud and hybrid ready. Additionally, the new infrastructure migrated emails from multiple platforms to a single platform with real-time communication capability in order to create a social enterprise on a public cloud platform which enables the employees to interact anywhere, anytime, on any devices.
Mobile, cloud and social media technologies have also been implemented to improve work productivity as well as the employee satisfaction. According to Dimension Data, productivity has improved and the response time for approvals has reduced through enabling mobile access to emails and group interactions.
Currently, 20 percent of ACB's employees use social media platform while 50 percent uses mobile access for Lync, and mobile access for mail. The new platform also provides secure access with a single ID and an ability to freely scale in and out of the cloud. All customer-centric and sensitive data remain on premise, while users have the flexibility of a hybrid cloud system.
"Dimension Data's team has been able to deliver a full infrastructure refresh and provide our 9,000 employees with a range of innovative collaboration solutions. By taking the time to sit down and discuss our needs, they were able to come up with a solution that not only meets our current needs, but also a long term strategy that maps to our business ambitions," said Matthew Martin, Chief Information Officer (CIO) of ACB.
