Apple has said that it will be reinstating most of the remaining developer services to its online portal this week, after an outage that has lasted for weeks.
In an update email sent to developers on Monday, Apple reassured developers that most of the services that have yet to be reinstated will be online by the end of the week, including Xcode automatic configuration as well as access to license agreements, TSIs, program enrolments and renewals in Member Center.
Key parts of the developer site were resurrected on 26 July, after more than a week of downtime that was caused by "an intruder" who had "attempted to secure personal information of our registered developers from our developer website," according to Apple.
Since then, Apple has been working "around the clock" to overhaul its developer systems, update its software and rebuild the entire database. In Monday's email, Apple said: "We sincerely appreciate your patience as we work to bring our developer program services back online."
A UK-based researcher claimed to be responsible for the developer portal outage, but Apple has not provided any further details about the exact cause, so his claims have not been confirmed.
