Anaplan wows its customers and partners at its annual conference in Singapore

Anaplan’s hub15 celebrates the company’s hypergrowth in the Asia Pacific region

One of its customers is HP that leveraged Anaplan's Territory and Quota Planning app to reach its potential.

"We're using Anaplan for highly effective planning and scenario analysis, and we're delivering goals to our global sales force faster than we ever have," said Bob Slaby, vice president, HP Sales Operations. "The simulations we run in Anaplan give us insights into where we should focus our sales teams for the best results--impossible when the data sat in disconnected spreadsheets around the world."

According to Tony Alizzi, HP's Sales Compensation Director for Asia Pacific & Japan, Anaplan has helped HP in replacing 90% of its applications. The company has 80,000 customers with planned quotas and 1,000 sales metrics for its salespeople. "It used to take us up to 2 months to assign targets to our sales reps," he said. "Anaplan helped us cut down that time from 2 months to 60 seconds."

Today, HP has 150 billion populated cells on the Anaplab platform.

On the question of data security for its sales data in the Anaplan cloud, Alizzi said that he was never bothered about it because HP itself is a provider of the safest cloud systems in the world, serving demanding customers such as the CIA and the FBI.

"Security is religion for us," added Gould, underlining that the Anaplan cloud platform is quite secure.

Anaplan is not just a highly efficient data calculation platform, it is also easy to deploy, unlike other platforms that could take months. For example, 2degrees Mobile, a New Zealand-based company with 2 million customers, uses Anaplan to manage its sales data. According to Andrew Paston of 2degrees, the company deployed Anaplan within 6 weeks with just 2 people.

Laluyaux said that because of their robust engine and easy deployment, Anaplan's customer base now extends across 20 countries and the company has doubled users to more than 35,000 across the world. The company was named a "Visionary" in Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Sales Performance Management (SPM) published in January, 2015, he said.

At the hub15, many other customers such as Zalora and GE vouched for Anaplan's usefulness.

The Anaplan team also launched the Anaplan's App Hub, which features many ready-made apps for various planning functions. For example, a version of Anaplan's Territory and Quota Planning app is now available in Anaplan's App Hub.

Future in APAC

"In a brief period of two and a half years, we have come a long way: from a startup to a mid-sized company," Neji said.

Currently, the company has 10% of its customers in the APAC region.

"By next year, we will double our revenue and double our team," he said with a confident grin. "We will have 80-90 customers in the region."
