Airtel deploys Cloudera Enterprise to improve customer experience

The Cloudera Enterprise provide Airtel with 360-degree view of its customers enabling them to leverage the data to execute omni-channel campaigns.

Telecommunications service provider in India, Bharti Airtel Limited (Airtel), has deployed Cloudera Enterprise to provide 360-degree view of the customers and enable them to leverage the data to execute omni-channel campaigns.

Airtel has over 265 million customers in India and offers wireless and fixed services, mobile commerce, DSL broadband, IPTV, DTH and national and international long distance services to carriers.

According to Cloudera, Airtel previously stored the data it collected daily in multiple traditional systems built over period of time. As such, the company put Cloudera Enterprise at the core of its information architecture where massive volumes of data are stored in a centralised location, across formats, and available to all business users and groups.

"As part of our digital journey at Airtel, our main focus is on providing the best customer experience with our new Business Intelligence (BI) and analytics platform, powered by Cloudera. Now, we are able to gain an even greater technical edge, empowering our marketers with intelligent data and analytics to make better decisions and improve the entire customer lifecycle with customised offerings," said Harmeen Mehta, Group CIO for Bharti Airtel Limited, in a press statement.
