Actuate Corporation, the company behind the BIRT (Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools) open source project today announced the BIRT iHub solution.
The solution, according to the statement, will allow end-users to access and respond to data analysis using mobile devices.
BIRT iHub is in a more technical aspect, a deployment framework for delivering applications that allow end-users to access data. The technology will cater to increased consumption of information on touch devices and draw data from a large pool of sources, among others.
Actuate plans to launch a series of ActuateOne solutions based on the BIRT iHub in recent months. The statement also quoted combining the technology from recently acquired Quiterian into the soon to be launched solutions.
IDC recently slated the APEJ big data and services market to hit US$1.76 billion (S$2.15 billion) by 2016.
