Management and technology consulting house Accenture and enterprise software provider SAP America are working closely with the HP Enterprise Group on helping clients more rapidly and cost-effectively adopt and deploy the SAP HANA platform through a subscription-based model.
According to Accenture’s media statement released today (June 6, 2014), the goal of this collaboration is to accelerate the ability of clients to transform their business by leveraging real-time business insight provided by SAP HANA. The companies will provide integrated solution-as-a-service and additional managed services offerings leveraging their respective assets, products and services to target clients worldwide across various industries.
In this collaborative effort, Accenture will be the primary services provider, HP’s Enterprise Group the primary infrastructure provider, and SAP the provider of mission-critical product support for SAP HANA.
“With Accenture serving as the single point of contact, clients would find it easier to deploy and manage SAP HANA on HP Infrastructure and achieve key benefits including lower risk, reduced commitment and greater scaling options,” said Mark Willford, senior managing director, Technology Ecosystem and Offerings, Accenture.
“Increasingly, organisations are looking to streamline their IT infrastructure by shifting their focus from integrating hardware, software and services, to adopting complete systems that can be quickly ordered and deployed to achieve business results faster,” added Nariman Teymourian, senior vice president, Global Enterprise Solutions, HP. “HP’s Enterprise Group offers industry-leading infrastructure and capabilities that are a critical part to delivering an SAP HANA solution-as-a-service to help customers speed innovation.”
Kevin Ichhpurani, senior vice president and head of Corporate Business Development and Strategic Ecosystem, SAP, believes that this collaboration serves as a step forward towards helping their customers leverage the power of SAP HANA in the cloud. “Together with Accenture and HP, we plan to offer the world-class benefits of SAP HANA through a more simplified approach that can include required technology and services without the capital expense of traditional deployment,” he said.
