SUNeVision, a subsidiary of Sun Hung Kai Properties Limited (SHKP), has announced the topping out its MEGA Plus data centre in Tseung Kwan O, Hong Kong.
The 470,000 gross square feet Tier-4 ready data centre is set to be fully operational in mid next year. It will serve multinational corporations and local corporate customers, including international banking and finance institutions, global and telecom operators, cloud service providers to small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
According to SUNeVIsion, the data centre will offer a network dense data centre ecosystem, with the concentration of nine global submarine cable systems and over 100 telecom operators, to ensure well-fledged telecommunications and internet infrastructure available. Low-latency and high-availability have been incorporated in the building's design to offer customers stability and flexibility.
"Featuring state-of-the-art technologies and facilities, MEGA Plus will provide reliable, scalable and carrier-neutral services with unparalleled connectivity to meet ever-changing business needs around the world. It will also become an integral part of the connected MEGA Campus when it begins operation in mid-2017," said Peter Yan, CEO of SUNeVision, in a press release.
MEGA Campus is connected with a virtual data centre with MEGA-i in Chai Wan, and the MEGA Two in Shatin.
