Adding on to this, Jimenez said that organisations that have yet to start on their DX journeys should quickly make their initial steps to stay competitive in the marketplace. Meanwhile, those that have already started should look towards progressing to the next level of digital transformation maturity.
Summing things up, Jimenez said that the future of digital transformation is very bright. According to him, IDC expects to see accelerated adoption of transformation initiatives in the next two years across countries and industries. In fact, in the next three to five years, the percentage of organisations with advanced DX strategies and implementations will more than double.
"The reality is that there is a great urgency to transform to stay competitive, and organisations will either thrive by becoming adept at DX, or fail to master the disciplines and struggle to survive," he concluded.
