Southern Vietnam Helicopter Company streamlines its operations

Adrian M. Reodique | Sept. 1, 2016
The company now has visibility and control across its entire maintenance and engineering operations.

Southern Vietnam Helicopter Company (VNHS) has implemented a unified platform by Ramco which allows them to integrate their operations, including Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO), Supply Chain Management, and Maintenance & Engineering (M&E).

The Ramco Aviation Suite is designed to be accessible on cloud and mobile. It covers modules for Maintenance, Material Management, and Finance and Human Resource Management.

By deploying the solution, VNHS' employees are able to access hands-free computing and 'Anywhere Apps'. Since the latter offers "smart" context-aware functions such as electronic signoffs, real-time monitoring and part tracking, easy deployment of online manuals and cloud-based data retrieval, such apps help reduce the transaction time during aircraft on ground conditions and critical aircraft turnarounds.

Besides that, VNHS' employees can now transact with the application by simply sending an email, and be automatically prompted with relevant options when the user needs to make decisions.

"Moving from some old software programme with limited functions to an integrated system has given us the much needed visibility and standardisation in processes across operations. The new system has given us the power to track complete component lifecycle, bring in optimisation and automate redundant processes thereby increasing overall productivity," said Pham Quang Hieu, Technical Director of VNHS, in a press release.
