For example, there was a wealth of information in the SAP infrastructure which may not be readily evident to management. Such information and its value should be highlighted and put to use. For users, tailoring solutions which would heighten user-experience would provide a clear advantage. Little improvements such as features which showed clearer on-screen graphics or were easier to use made a difference to users. It was no longer sufficient to focus solely on functionality.

Consumer technology has sparked an excitement corporate IT needs to capture. Solution providers which are able to tap into this excitement, provide a 'wow' factor and deliver on value are those which will succeed."
