Ramco HR solution joins cloud services

Veronica C. Silva | July 4, 2013
Cloud solution helps organisations address latest HR challenges.

With almost everyone and everything connected to the enterprise these days, organisations are likewise trying to keep up with human resource management challenges, including solutions deployment.

That’s why enterprise solutions provider Ramco has taken its human capital management (HCM) solution to the cloud, similar to its ERP and aviation solutions.

Ramco Systems said it brought its HCM solution to the cloud to take into consideration today’s HR workers who are mobile yet remain connected to the network.

“The Enterprise Cloud market is growing rapidly with adoption across organisations of all sizes. Our investments in technology and our focus towards bringing Mobility, Gen-Y User interface, role-based WorkSpaces and In-memory engine into a cloud-based offering has helped us carve a niche position, globally,” said Virender Aggarwal, CEO, Ramco Systems.

Ramco HCM on Cloud is a comprehensive HR & Talent Management solution that is flexible enough to meet global market demands. It is capable of multi-country payroll and flexible enough to be integrated into any standard ERP.

Industry forecasts

Independent industry data give Ramco enough reasons to focus on the HR solutions market. According to IDC’s forecast, the worldwide HCM market can hit up to US$11 billion in 2016 for a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8.1 percent. Gartner’s forecast for the HCM market by 2015 is US$10 billion.

Another study, this time by Aberdeen, noted that 39 percent of “high growth” organisations were planning to invest in cloud in 2012. And the HCM market is expected to grow rapidly in the “next few years.”

To capture this HR solutions market, Aggarwal said Ramco is working with large ITeS players to offer HR platform as a service.

Ramco HCM on Cloud covers every aspect of an employee lifecycle: Workforce Management, Recruitment, Talent Management, Employee Development, Workforce Planning and Payroll & Benefits.

The solution has already been tested in some markets and is already being used by some top organisations in the Middle East and India, said Ramco.

Ramco also announced the launch of Minnal, a flexible, lightweight, In-memory Engine which can be used for any Planning, Scheduling, Optimization and batch processing (APO) activity.
