Design and testing are critical to the success of IT projects

Of course, there are a whole host of other reasons why IT projects do not succeed, many of which relate to failures in communication, project management and governance. When it comes to these topics, rather than carrying out a 'cut and paste' job from another contract, the parties should carefully consider what's appropriate for the specific project. There's little value including processes and procedures in the contract if they are not going to be workable in practice.
