Davao City is racing towards as the next top outsourcing hub not only in the Philippines, but globally.
This is according to the whitepaper of call centre company, Open Access BPO, titled "Davao, Philippines: Making waves as the next prime spot for outsourcing."
Since 2008, Davao has been consistently handpicked by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) as one of the next wave cities in the Philippines. The city is also ranked 66th among the world's top outsourcing destination in 2015 listed by global outsourcing and investment firm Tholons.
The whitepaper highlights the strengths of Davao as an outsourcing hub, including the ease of doing business, its booming economy, reliable IT infrastructure, low environmental risk, skilled manpower, and living conditions' efficiency.
"Keeping its ears on the ground', and engaging existing locators in continuing dialogs [and] exchanges with private and public sectors to anticipate potential barriers to their growth and expansion plans shall be key to Davao's sustainable industry growth," said Lizabel Holganza, CEO of ZipIT Solutions Inc. in the study.
