Here's a piece of good news that doesn't come around every day.
IT software management firm CA Technologies is offering "resource-constrained customers" a free and easy-to-manage solution that allows enterprises to check into the health of its IT resources without breaking the bank.
The CA Nimsoft Monitor Snap is now available in the market for up to 30 monitored devices with unlimited monitors for free, the company said.
The solution is a feature-rich version of the CA Nimsoft Monitor solution, an IT monitoring platform for both on-premise and cloud infrastructure.
CA Technologies said the snap solution can be configured easily for use within a matter of hours. Still, it has the same enterprise features like other NImsoft solutions - robust performance, built-in tools, dashboards, alarms and guided workflows. The snap version is built on the same code base as CA Nimsoft Monitor release 7.
CA Technologies said the snap solution is specifically aimed at emerging enterprises that don't have the same resources that large enterprises have, including funds, talents and even time.
With enterprise-class features, the CA Nimsoft Monitor Snap allows organisations to adopt next-generation management technology at less cost and without the risk.
"Until today, under-resourced customers faced an unacceptable choice between non-integrated 'point' monitoring tools, technically challenging open-source code, and conventional enterprise-class technology that cost too much and took too long to implement," said Stephen Miles, vice president, Service Assurance, Asia Pacific & Japan, CA Technologies. "With CA Nimsoft Monitor Snap, these customers finally have a solution that genuinely meets their specific needs."
The CA Nimsoft Monitor Snap is initially available in five languages, namely English, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese.
CA Nimsoft Monitor Snap customers can also enjoy the community of support site, CA Snap Central, which is also open to CA Nimsoft Monitor users.
