Security firm Trend Micro has opened regional authorised training centres in Malaysia and Singapore as the result of a partnership with Dimension Data subsidiary Training Partners.
IT infrastructure learning and development firm Training Partners is the first provider of Trend Micro's official curriculum in both countries and will deliver courses on Trend Micro Deep Security and Trend Micro OfficeScan through the new Trend Micro Authorised Training Centres (ATCs).
"We are very pleased to extend our certification program to Asia Pacific through Training Partners," said Malaysia-based Trend Micro SEA's managing director, Goh Chee Hoh.
"With more businesses moving their mission-critical workloads to the virtualised and cloud environment, it is imperative that they deploy a comprehensive server security platform and a unified management infrastructure of endpoint security to defend against cyber threats," said Goh.
"Our certification courses on Deep Security and OfficeScan will equip IT professionals with the knowledge and expertise to meet the ever-demanding requirements in today's environment," he said.
Growing demand for security training
Training Partners managing director, Sarab Singh, said, "With the growing demand for security training in the virtualisation space, we are delighted to partner with Trend Micro as their Authorised Training Centre. Trend Micro Deep Security is by far the only authorised product to offer support for VMware vSphere & vShield endpoints."
"By adding Deep Security and OfficeScan to our training portfolio as well as leveraging our existing relationship with VMware and Citrix, we have expanded the scope and depth of our security learning offerings in the virtualisation space," said Singh.
He said Trend Micro Deep Security and Trend Micro OfficeScan help to tackle challenges in the constantly-changing threat landscape. Deep Security provides advanced server security for physical, virtual and cloud servers, protecting virtualised data centres and cloud workloads from data breaches and business disruptions while enabling regulatory compliance. Developed in close collaboration with VMware, Deep Security integrates VMware vSphere Endpoint APIs to provide agentless anti-malware protection for VMware virtual machines. OfficeScan focuses on endpoint security, safeguarding file servers, desktops, laptops and even mobile devices.
Designed for IT professionals in charge of network protection, the course for each product covers topics from basic architecture overview to administration options. VAD, partners, resellers and IT professionals who complete the two-day course for either product and pass the exam will be certified as TCSPs (Trend Micro Certified Security Professionals).
Established in Singapore in 1994, Training Partners offers IT infrastructure learning and development, delivering advanced technology training as well as training consulting services to multinational corporations.
