From now till 30 November 2014, the Singapore Computer Society (SCS) is accepting nominations of tech firms in the republic for its new Best Tech Company to Work For award.
According to the republic's infocomm body, the award will honour tech firms with exemplary qualities of enviable corporate culture, robust talent development framework, and innovation excellence. "The award will help honour tech companies that are perceived by the market as having a culture that attracts and retains great talent," added Steve Leonard, IDA's executive deputy chairman.
It is hoped that having such as an award will encourage organisations to advocate life-long learning to their infocomm and media (ICM) employees, and promote a strong culture of innovation. "The award is a good initiative to encourage MNCs, SMEs, and start-ups in the ICM sector to be innovative, drive professional development, and develop best practices," said Gilbert Tan, e2i's CEO.
Nominations for the award can be made at https://www.scs.org.sg/best-tech-co-award/index.php. Nominees will be evaluated based on innovation, human resource management, human resource development, people culture, and financial sustainability. The results will be announced during the award ceremony, which will be held in the first half of 2015.
The Best Tech Company to Work For award is supported by Singapore's Workforce Development Agency (WDA), the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA), and Employment and Employability Institute (e2i).
