VMware has appointed IT industry veteran, Ron Goh, as the Vice President and General Manager for the ASEAN region, the virtualization and cloud infrastructure services provider announced today.
With over 30 years of experience, Goh will focus on driving VMware's overall corporate direction to further accelerate and extend the company's presence and leadership in the region, the company said in a statement. In this role, he will spearhead strategic planning, business development, sales and channels, and alignment of key functions including services, finance and marketing, it added.
As part of VMware's commitment to ASEAN, Goh will play a pivotal role in growing the business, helping customers and partners in IT transformation, enabling businesses to thrive in today's Mobile Cloud Era.
Prior to joining VMware in 2014, Goh was the Senior Vice President, Systems Oracle Asia Pacific. He also held various senior management roles at EMC. He succeeds Jon Robertson in leading ASEAN, as Robertson takes on the role of Vice President and General Manager in Japan.
