Enterprise software maker Progress Software has appointed a new managing director to oversee operations in Asia Pacific and Japan.
Keith Budge, who is designated as vice president, will take over from Paul Henaghan, who's now based in North America. Progress Software credits Henaghan for driving the company's recent growth in the region.
Budge, on the other hand, has already held executive positions in the region for 17 years prior to this new assignment. He has professional experience in the software industry, telecommunications, retail management, and senior policy-making roles in government.
Based in Singapore, Budge is expected to manage a customer-focused sales, services, and support organisation for all channels across Asia Pacific and Japan.
Among Progress Software's top clients in the region are the top five banks and telecommunications companies as well as the top three insurers, said Christopher Larsen, executive vice president of global field operations, Progress Software. These clients use Progress Software to operate their mission-critical business applications and improve their operational efficiencies.
Added Larsen: "Progress has earned a strong reputation across Asia for delivering best-in-class enterprise software products, solutions and services. Progress has been present in Asia Pacific for more than 10 years and is well represented in 15 countries across the region. I am delighted to welcome Keith to the Progress team. He joins us with tremendous experience and success in the Asia Pacific region."
Budge said: "Progress has an amazing inventory of software and solution capability. It has a long 30-year history of providing value to its customers around the world. I look forward to the opportunity of working with the Progress team and partners in the APJ region, to bring the value of Progress software and solutions to customers across the region."
Budge reports to Larsen.
