Scale-out storage vendor, PernixData, has named Kristen Carnes as its new global vice-president of channels. Carnes joins the company from Nimble Storage, where she most recently served as its vice-president of global channel sales.
"Kristin brings more than 18 years of storage and channel experience to PernixData and moving forward, will be working with PernixData global sales organisation to develop a strong partner network in all the regions including A/NZ," PernixData A/NZ channel manager, Aggie Szemplinska, said.
Carnes was the vice-president of global channel sales at Nimble Storage for 10 months. Prior to that, she served in the company as its director of channel sales for a little over three years.
Earlier, she was the director of strategic channels (BRS division) at EMC Corporation. She was in this position for two years. Some of her other stints include working in Data Domain as the director of distribution for two years and at Ingres as the director of Americas partner sales, which she held for two years.
In addition, the company has been expanding its Alliance eco-system. It most recently joined Dell's Technology Partner Program after having joined EMC's VCE Technology Alliance Program and the Citrix Ready Partner Program as a premier partner in December last year.
On the products end, the company has recently announced version 3.0 of its flagship PernixData FVP product; brought to market PernixData Freedom edition - the free version of the product (with limited functionality); and announced a new product called PernixData Architect.
