Nokia has named Nicolas Bouverot, Head of Japan at Alcatel-Lucent, as the Head of Asia South for the planned combination of Nokia and Alcatel-Lucent.
The move follows the planned and senior leadership team and organisation structure for combined Nokia and Alcatel-Lucent announced on October 7, 2015.
Following this new appointment, Bouverot will report to Paul Tyler, Head of Asia Pacific and Japan at Nokia.

Nicolas has strong track record and extensive experience in driving best-in-class customer solutions across the market unit. I look forward to working with him as we continue to drive the business momentum in the market unit," said Tyler.
As the Head of Asia South, Bouverot is tasked to manage and oversee the customer operations of combined companies across Asia South which includes Bangladesh, Brunei, Malaysia, Maldives, Philippines, Singapore, and Sri Lanka. He is also responsible for implementing execution of strategy, as well as enhance the company's business relationship with its customers.
However, Bouverot's appointment will only take effect after the successful closing of public exchange offer, and it is subject to the completion of the relevant works council consultation procedures.
After the closing of the public exchange offer, the networks business is also planned to be conducted through four business groups: Mobile Networks, Fixed Networks, Applications & Analytics, and IP/Optical Networks.
Additionally, Nokia plans to add six business leaders serving as Chief Financial Officer, Chief Customer Operations Officer, Chief Innovation & Operating Officer, Chief Human Resources Officer, Chief Strategy Officer, and Chief Marketing Officer.
