Rick Scurfield is now NetApp Inc.'s senior vice president and general manager for the Asia Pacific, according to a press statement by the Sunnyvale-based network storage systems and storage management applications vendor.
"Scurfield will be responsible for growing NetApp's presence across the region by continuing to strengthen and expand its strategic channel and technology partnerships and deliver on the company's commitment to offer strategic solutions that address customers' critical cloud and flash requirements," said the NetApp statement.
Scurfield has been with NetApp for more than 11 years, working across various functions from sales to leading strategic corporate initiatives.
Scurfield has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pittsburgh and an MBA from Notre Dame University.
