Neeraj Swaroop named as Standard Chartered’s new CEO in Singapore

He replaces Ray Ferguson, who has joined Bahrain-based Arab Banking Corporation.

Neeraj Swaroop will be replacing Ray Ferguson as Standard Chartered Bank's chief executive officer (CEO) in Singapore from next Monday (31 March 2014).

Swaroop has 23 years of experience in the financial services industry and is currently the CEO for ASEAN excluding Singapore at Standard Chartered.

His predecessor, Ray Ferguson, was reported to have left Standard Chartered to join Bahrain-based Arab Banking Corporation (ABC). He will be assuming the position of executive vice president and group chief banking officer of ABC from the second quarter of this year, according to ABC's media statement.
