Microsoft has appointed Haresh Khoobchandani as Managing Director of Microsoft Thailand with immediate effect, the IT software giant announced on 14 November.

Khoobchandani is a Singaporean and has succeeded Birathon Kasemsri Na Ayudhaya, who decided to step down to prioritise his time to be with his family, the company said in a statement.

Before this new assignment, Khoobchandani served as Chief Operating Officer for Microsoft Indonesia, where he helped the subsidiary to achieve over 30 percent growth.

Khoobchandani is a Microsoft veteran with over 15 years of experience. "These are exciting times for the IT industry and I look forward to making a difference to our people, our customers and our partners as we continue to focus on their constantly evolving needs today and in the near future," Khoobchandani said.
