Megaport makes key management appointments

Move is in preparation for its global market expansion

Megaport has set its sights on a global expansion of its marketing efforts and has made key appointments to its management team as it prepares to achieve this strategic vision

Separate statements by the Australian provider of a network-as-a-service (NAAS) platform said the key appointments include that of Denver Maddux as its new chief executive officer (CEO).

The appointment s also include Belinda Flanders, executive vice president, APAC and MEA and Brynn Maddux, executive vice president, Americas and Europe.

Strategic  Thrust

Driver for the strategic thrust is the growing demand for scalable cloud and inter-connectivity services, according to the press statements by the company.

The first press statement said Bevan Slathery will remain as executive chairman.

It said that previous to his appointment as CEO, Denver Maddux served as  Microsoft Corp.'s senior director, global network services.

The second press statement said Flanders has extensive experience in the telecommunications sector, including sales, marketing and channel management roles.

It added Brynn Maddux previously served as Microsoft Corp.'s principal strategic sourcing manager.
