MediaMath has recently named Joanna O'Connell as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).
With a rich background in digital marketing and adtech, O'Connell joins MediaMath at a time of positive growth. In this new role, she will focus on harnessing this momentum, and serve as an internal and external voice for the company, all while aiming to make the jobs of MediaMath employees easier.
O'Connell most recently served as the Lead Analyst for AdExchanger, where she was also the founding member. Prior to AdExchanger, she held the role of Principal Analyst for Interactive Marketing Professionals at Forrester Research, where she focused on display marketing, ad targeting, optimisation and measurement
With more than 15 years of experience in the marketing leadership industry, O'Connell kick started her career at digital advertising agency Avenue A in New York and was a founding member of Razorfish's ATOM Systems agency trading desk. More recently, she ran brand relations for the Audience on Demand practice at VivaKi, helping advertising clients target and optimise broad-reaching interactive campaigns.
