Appointed to reposition company’s ICT infrastructure roadmap

ICT solutions and services provider, NEC Australia, has appointed Tasso Mangos as its chief technology officer (CTO).

In addition to serving as the company's technology evangelist, Mangos will be in charge of repositioning NEC Australia's ICT infrastructure roadmap, and setting its technology strategy across the business. "Tasso will provide strong direction and coordination of information management and technology architecture within NEC Australia's operations," NEC Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ) managing director, Alan Hyde, said.

"He will initially focus on delivering better services, reducing operational costs, and improving ICT processes across the company, while driving innovation among our solutions."

Mangos joins NEC Australia with more than 20 years' IT industry experience in specialist engineering roles and projects spanning technology design, consulting, and IT operational costs in government and large enterprise.

He has also held roles in enterprise architecture on large outsourcing contracts managed by CSG, Commander, IPEX, Volante, and Computer Power Professional Services. In addition, Mangos has significant experience in Federal Government, having worked on major transformational and change programs with large departments, including Defence.
