Certified data centre training courses, which are supported and accredited by the International Data Centre Authority (IDCA), are now available across the Asia Pacific (AP) region.
This was made possible by a partnership between IT Learning Solution (ITLS) — a wholly owned subsidiary of global IT enablement firm Fastlane — and global data centre training and solutions provider TechXact.
According to a joint press release, having IT personnel that are fully cognizant of the data center's functional risks is vital as it can help minimise downtime and add resilience to the organisation.
Courses offered by ITLS and TechXact will thus equip AP professionals with the know-how of ensuring a high availability data centre while minding key operational and maintenance issues and concerns. The courses will cover data centre causes of downtime, standards, building, construction, power, cooling, fire, EMF, and lighting ; as well as design, scalability, security, safety, labeling, documentation, SLA, OLA.
TechXact also offers certified data center courses covering advanced topics of data center design life cycle, tiered infrastructure designing, planning, maintenance standards, raised floor, suspended ceiling, power, electro-magnetic fields, cooling, fire protection, IT, telecom, application, cable management, environment specifications and data centre efficiency.
