Honeywell Process Solutions to train personnel of new Vietnam oil refinery

Business unit of New Jersey-based technology and engineering company uses e-learning in its standardized training services.

Honeywell Process Solutions will train technical personnel of the new Nghi Son Refinery and

Petrochemical Limited Liability company, according to a press statement by the business unit  of Honeywell International, Inc. based in Morristown, New Jersey.

The new refinery will begin operations in 2017 and will be capable of producing 200,000 barrels to meet 30% of Vietnam's need for refined oil products.

Advanced Level Training

The press statement mentioned that Honeywell Process Solutions' training services include e-learning with simulation for advanced level training.

It added that the Honeywell business unit also has a comprehensive management solution that enables execution of training programs on time and within budget.

The press statement though made no specific mention of their use in the scheduled training program.

But it said it would implement a standardized training strategy.

The Nghi Son Refinery is a joint venture among the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN), Kuwait Petroleum BV (KPE), Idemitsu Kosan Co. Ltd. (IKC) and Mitsui Chemicals Inc.
