Fortinet names Yue Chin Beng as new regional director

In this new role, Yue will manage and grow large strategic accounts across the Southeast Asia and Hong Kong region.

Cybersecurity solutions provider, Fortinet, has recently named Yue Chin Beng as its new regional director.

In this new role, Yue will be responsible for overseeing Fortinet's relationships with Southeast Asia and Hong Kong customers who have businesses with two or more countries in the region, or with Fortinet on an Asia Pacific or global level.

His primary role is to identify possible avenues of synergies for these accounts, and coordinate with the customers' Fortinet account managers in the various countries to better meet the clients' overall needs and grow the accounts over time.

According to a media statement, Yue is an IT veteran with over three decades of experience in the industry. He has held a variety of local and regional business management, sales, channel, professional services and technical support roles in companies such as NetIQ, Novell, Attachmate Group and WordPerfect.

Commenting on this new appointment, George Chang, Fortinet's VP for Southeast Asia & Hong Kong, said, "Yue has been engaging customers strategically at senior levels for many years. His experience will enable us to synergistically orchestrate the delivery of customers' varied requirements and help them meet their business objectives better, thus elevating Fortinet's playing field to a higher level."
