Ensogo, an Asian-based e-commerce company, has appointed Cooper McGuire as its new Chief Operating Officer and will spearhead the company's mobile marketplace business strategy.

"Ensogo's strategy has never been more compelling. The growth opportunities in the marketplace are enormous and I am incredibly excited to be working with the team to drive these opportunities forward," said McGuire.

McGuire is the co-founder of Zalora where he most recently served as Chief Financial Officer. Having held senior operational and financial roles on other online retail businesses and investment banks, McGuire specialises in building and scaling e-commerce businesses.

"Ensogo's new mobile marketplace will allow us to fast track growth and capitalise on the incredible opportunity before us. We are confident that with Cooper's leadership and expertise, we will be able to accelerate our strategies and deliver growth rates that correspond with the size of the e-commerce opportunity in the region," said Kris Marszalek, co-founder and CEO of Ensogo.

"Cooper is a seasoned and trusted leader who consistently delivers results. He is uniquely qualified to drive strategic prioritisation and accountability within Ensogo. Ensogo has gained exceptionally strong momentum in our mobile marketplace over the past months, and his leadership will prove invaluable as we enter the next phase of growth," added Marszalek.
