Data centre solutions provider, Digital Realty Trust, announced today that it has named Daryl Dunbar as its new Managing Director for Asia Pacific.
Commencing his role on April 2015, Dunbar assumes leadership of the region from Bernard Geoghegna, who previously oversaw both Europe and APAC for the Digital Realty.
Now based in Singapore, Dunbar will be responsible for building on the company's success while developing strategies for new markets.
According to the company's media statement, Dunbar has worked extensively with various organisations, particularly in the areas of technology, strategy, operations, business design, corporate development and venture financing.
Dunbar most recently served as the Head of IT Services at Colt Technology Services. Prior to that, he served as the Senior Vice President of Innovation for Reed Elsevier and Director of Portfolio Innovation for the BT Group in London. Dunbar has also held various leadership roles with Enron and BellSouth, and co-founded several companies.
"Asia Pacific is a key growth region, with a diverse and widespread geography. Our client portfolio has expanded rapidly across our facilities in Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia, and the list continues to grow," said Jarrett Appleby, Chief Operating Officer, Digital Realty. "We are pleased to welcome Daryl to the Digital Realty team and look forward to strengthening our presence in the region under his leadership."
