Damien Cummings to lead Standard Chartered’s digital marketing strategy

Standard Chartered Bank yesterday (19 May 2015) announced that it has hired Damien Cummings as its Global Head of Digital Marketing.

He will assume the role in June this year, and report directly to Sanjeeb Chaudhuri, Group Head of Brand and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).

To be based in Singapore, Cummings will be responsible for providing digital and mobile marketing thought leadership, as well as strategy formulation and execution. He will also work with business partners to achieve the bank's business aspirations.

Cummings has over 20 years of experience in digital and marketing transformation. Before joining Standard Chartered, he was most recently the Vice President and CMO at Philips ASEAN and Pacific. In that role, he oversaw brand, communications and digital marketing efforts across Philips Consumer Lifestyle, Philips Lighting and Philips Healthcare.  

He has also worked at Samsung Asia, as well as major global corporations in Australia and Singapore including Dell, Ogilvy, Citibank, Coca-Cola, NRMA and McKinsey & Company.
