Continuous skills upgrade key to thriving in the digital age: Singtel’s Bill Chang

Bill Chang, CEO of Singtel's Group Enterprise and winner of Singapore Computer Society's IT Leader Awards, also shares what else is needed to become an effective IT leader

Dr Lim Woo Lip: Professional of the Year
Dr Lim is the Vice President of SmartHub and Cyber Security at Starhub. Since joining StarHub in 2013, he has been focusing on innovating and developing the company's data analytics capabilities. SmartHub, the data analytics arm of StarHub, is now providing data analytics support to various government agencies and commercial companies.

Besides that, Dr Lim has helped to establish links between government agencies, institutes of higher learning (IHLs) and commercial companies for collaborations and joint developments in data analytics and cyber security.

Alex Lau: Entrepreneur of the Year
The founder and CEO of a property and energy management platform, Anacle Systems Ltd, has transformed his company from a startup to a listed company on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange with a market presence across Southeast Asia and Middle East.

Saw Ken Wye: Hall of Fame
Saw is the Chief Executive Officer of eGoverment platform, CrimsonLogic. He has represented the industry in numerous government committees and has been involved in the development of a number of National IT Plans such as Singapore's IT2000 initiative.

Yeo Quan Yang: IT Youth
Yeo is a Computer Science undergraduate at the National University of Singapore (NUS), who will be completing his honours degree this year.

After developing an interest in information security, he founded NUS Greyhats, an interest group that aims to foster collaboration and promote interest in Information Security in NUS. Currently in its third year, NUS Greyhats has more than15 members and has helped spread awareness of the importance of information security amongst junior colleges and polytechnics, as well as amongst industry professionals.

Yeo scored an internship earlier this year with Google Switzerland, where he was a Software Engineering Intern in the Security and Privacy team.
