Cisco hires Saleh M Haji Munshi as its president for ASEAN

IT provider Cisco has appointed Saleh M Haji Munshi as its new leader in ASEAN.

Based out of Singapore, Saleh will be responsible for owning and accelerating business strategies across Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia and the Indochina region. He will report to Irving Tan, president for Cisco in Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ).

Before joining Cisco, Saleh was responsible for customer and partner segments at Dell across Indonesia, the Philippines, Pakistan, Bangladesh and 16 other developing countries in the Asia Pacific region. He has also held senior leadership positions in Ciena, Lucent Technologies and hughes Network Systems.

Commenting on the appointment, Tan said that Saleh will "drive the strategic opportunities in connecting the unconnected in ASEAN."
