Students looking for a career in big data can meet some of the UK's top employers at the SAS Big Data Skills Festival hosted by Brunel University in London this month.
SAS says the UK alone will need 70,000 skilled and well-paid data analytics experts in the next five years.
The Thursday 30 October event at Brunel will see SAS, Price Waterhouse Coopers, Accenture, British Airways, Sopra Group and Barclays all recruiting at the event.
The big data festival also features keynote speeches from the UK government's chief operating officer Stephen Kelly and SAS UK and Ireland managing director Mark Wilkinson.
Brunel University's Dr Laurence Brooks said: "The Festival offers students a chance to meet the biggest employers in the field and get an invaluable insight into the world of big data - using data for evidence-based decision making in both the public and private sectors
"Equally valuable are the afternoon sessions in CV writing and interviewing techniques. It's not often an entire industry tells prospective applicants exactly what they are looking for and how a business or computer science graduate can land a role."
