ASOS is searching for a new IT lead after the departure of CIO Pete Marsden.
A spokesperson for the online retailer said: "ASOS is reviewing the management structure of its IT department following the departure of Pete Marsden by mutual consent.
"A process to find his successor is underway, both internally and externally."
Marsden is believed to have left his role, but it is not known if has left for a new role, according to Drapers magazine. ASOS declined to provide any further information.
His Linkedin profile indicates that he started at ASOS in September 2012, prior to which he had a background in finance, media and telecoms. He joined ASOS from Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), where he was head of development. Prior to this, he had senior roles at BBC Worldwide (as CTO), Orange UK and was CTO and CIO at online-only bank Egg.
Earlier this year, ASOS announced plans to increase its investment in IT and warehousing to support its expansion plans. However, the company issued a profit warning as a result of the higher costs, which led to the value of its shares falling.
