At the workshop in Singapore, SingTel's chief innovation officer, Alfonso Villanueva, will share how the telco is embracing the digital era in a society that is increasingly mobile and where choices are almost infinite, through its Digital L!fe initiative.
In Seoul, Accenture's senior managing director for Mobility, Jin Lee, will present a global perspective on where mobility is headed next as well as the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead. To provide a rounded view on the topic of mobility, Samsung and Hana Bank will share how they have adopted digital technologies to advance their organisations' growth agenda.
4) This is your first year as the chairman. What are your expectations for this Workshop?
It has been an exciting year working with our distinguished board of advisors in the planning of this year's workshop. I hope the CIO Workshop will provide the platform to facilitate a highly interactive forum that CIOs look forward to each year; as an opportunity to network with fellow peers, discuss and debate the most pressing issues they face and engage with industry leaders. This is an event for the CIOs by the CIOs.
This year, we are launching for the first time an event mobile application to further support interactions and networking among the delegates. It is part of our efforts to leverage mobile and digital tools to raise the bar for the CIO Workshop going forward.
I hope the presentations, site visits and interactions at the CIO Workshop will open up our CIOs' perspective on the paradigm shift in the use of technology and how they should be leading their organisations into the next frontier.
