Adobe announced today (Feb 2) that it has promoted Vineet Sood, its recent head of SMB Sales for India, to assume the role of Director, SMB Sales for India and Southeast Asia.

In this role expansion, Sood will be given regional responsibility to oversee small- and medium- sized businesses (SMB) sales, and will report to Rob Giglio, World Wide Vice President, Consumer and SMB Sales.

According to Adobe's media statement, Sood has been with the company since 2011, and has helped redefine Adobe's channel sales business in India to be the best performing team in the Asia Pacific region. In fact, he was named Asia Pacific Channel Person of the Year at Adobe's World Wide Sales Conference last December.

Commenting on this new appointment, Stephen Hamill, Managing Director of Adobe SEA, said Sood has played a crucial role in driving sales in India. He added that Sood's leadership would be a "tremendous asset" to Adobe's Southeast Asian team.
