Addressing IT and engineering talent shortage in Asia

Recruitment firm Spring Professional addresses the shortage of IT and engineering talents brought about by changing market trends and needs.

Spring Professional, an arm of the Adecco Group in Asia, has recently launched recruitment offices specialising in IT and engineering in Asia to address the shortage of talents in those two industries.

Under the brand names Spring Information Technology and Spring Engineering, the company will exclusively focus on the recruitment of middle to senior level management and specialists in the areas of IT and engineering.

IT boom in Asia

With the rise of emerging IT markets – such as big data, cloud computing, mobile and social media – and given the financial crunch in US and Europe, IT companies are looking to Asia to establish themselves.

This causes a strong demand for IT talents in Asia as companies compete for skilled potentials to outbid each other to build the strongest team.

According to Spring Professional, it is predicted that a quarter of the 4.4 million IT jobs globally in 2015 will be in Asia.

The changing face of engineering

The evolved engineering demand and needs has resulted in a shortage of available talents.
