Digital Fashion Week (DFW), an exclusively online fashion show, is set to debut in Singapore this October with a line-up of some of Singapore’s renowned designers.
Founded by STORM agency, DFW is touted to be the “world’s first live streaming only fashion week”.
Apart from live runway shows, DFW will reportedly feature backstage action, pre-show performances, post show parties, interviews with artistes, and live runway commentaries.
It will incorporate an e-commerce capability for viewers to purchase local designer collections off the runway.
DFW also intends to launch a mobile application.
“Singapore has grown to be Asia’s most network-ready country with one of the highest mobile penetrations in the world. The age of Digital Fashion is here; it is the perfect timing for the fashion industry to embrace the future of technology, first-hand in Singapore,” co-founder of DFW, Charina Widjaja, said in a press statement.
